The Academy began operations under the name “Mosaica Academy of Saginaw” in the 1997-98 school year offering grades K-5 to 261 students. In the Academy’s second year of operation, it enrolled 382 students in grades K-6. The Academy changed its name to “Saginaw Preparatory Academy” in 2004. The Academy has continued to experience growth in its student population and has added additional grades. The Academy expanded to grades PreK-7 in 2007-08 and enrolled 233 students, and further expanded to grades PreK-8 in 2008-09 and enrolled 262 students. The Academy has continued to expand its enrollment and as of the first day of the 2012-13 school year had an enrollment of 435 students in grades K-8 (with an additional 32 students in PreK).
